Merry Christmas to All!

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas! I had a great one (and so did Sam), but unfortunately Mommy and Daddy's camera's flash broke the day before Christmas Eve so I am missing some pictures. All of my grandparents shared their cameras so I do have documentation of my Christmases. Below you will see the Hyland Christmas, and I will post the Rikli Christmas once I get the pictures downloaded from that!
Selecting one of many cookies that I have eaten over this holiday!!

Posing with Grandma and Grandpa on Christmas day!
Here is the annual chair picture in front of Grandma and Grandpa's tree...
Sam had to have one this year too. He was a little scared!
Both of us together. Let's see how many years we can both sit in this chair. Probably not too many!!
Sam with Uncle Jay...
Sam with Aunt Amanda...this is a momentous occasion. Amanda does NOT hold babies very often :) (Look at Sam look at her though, don't you think she should hold him more often?)
Our family in 2 pictures...we have a whole family one coming from the other camera!

More pictures to come!

Let it snow!

Ok, so I guess it didn't snow very much, but I was excited about it. Before we get to that, here are some pictures of Sam. He seems to be getting bigger every day, which makes me happy because then I can play with him more!

This one is for Great Aunt Mary! Sam loves his frog sleeper!
So Sam was supposed to be doing tummy time, but he went to sleep instead. That made me kind of tired too so I laid down beside him (I didn't fall asleep though). Notice how we each had to have a blanket to lay on.

Sam is ready to go outside and shovel snow (ok, so he just sat and watched).
One other Christmas outfit picture thrown in...
Here I am shoveling. Last year I had trouble getting it on my shovel and throwing it in the grass. This year I have the hang of it already and am going to be a great helper (at least when there is less than 2 inches on the ground)!
Sam supervising...

Have a great week!

My School Program!

Last night I had my daycare program, and even though I was a little nervous I did a great job (according to Mommy and Daddy). The first song was about the Grinch, and I was really not sure about that one. I had been talking for weeks about Calvin being the grinch and having his face painted green, but when I actually saw him he kind of scared me. Calvin was about 12 and he felt so bad scaring me, but he talked to me and I felt better. When we did the song, I did a good job sitting and mouthing the words a bit. I really didn't say it as loud as I did at home so Daddy taped me doing it at home at the bottom. The room was also really dark so we couldn't videotape very well at the program. We got some pictures though!
Sam, ready to go...

A couple pics of Sam

Here are some pics with Sam in them since he wasn't in the previous post much. He is getting bigger and is almost out of newborn clothes now. Here he is modeling one of his 0-3 month outfits in his bassinet.
Sam and I in Christmas jammies...
Mommy told me I had to add this one too. I was decorating the house and hung up a bunch of gift bags on the fireplace. I thought they were very decorative, but Mommy just laughed!

Santa, trees, a birthday, an attempted Sunday School Program and sickness!

I had a great start to my long weekend and a sick end to it! This past weekend I went to brunch with Santa, helped cut down Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas tree, celebrated Grandpa's birthday and had my Sunday School program. Here are the highlights...
Celebrating with Grandpa...
Sam was more into snuggling than celebrating!
Picking out the right Christmas tree!

I got cold and had to have Uncle Jay carry me for awhile. Thank goodness Great Grandma had a blanket in her car that we used to get the tree! Thanks Great Grandma! You saved Grandma and Grandpa from a meltdown!
Helping cut the Christmas tree...
Brunch with Santa-I didn't want to get too close to Santa again, but I did ok. I didn't throw a fit and I did stand pretty close to his knee. Sam was pretty ok with it, but he did start getting mad toward the end (only because he wanted his nuk back since we took it out for the picture).
Waiting in line for Santa...

Reading with Mrs Claus while in line. I always like hearing what she has to say...
Playing games...
Getting my face painted...I've never had that done before, and I had a little trouble sitting still, but I got a Christmas tree with a star and was very proud of it.
On to the Sunday School program. This whole night was kind of a disaster for me. Mommy dropped me off with all the kids and I went to my teacher, but then about 10 minutes later, my teacher brought me into church crying. A bigger kid had accidentally knocked me down and that was the last straw! I proceeded to have many meltdowns throughout the night. I wouldn't eat at the potluck, and I was just plain ornery! Then in the middle of the night on Sunday I woke up and threw up in my bed. I felt much better after that, and Mommy was kind of happy there was an explanation for my awful behavior on Sunday.
This is as close as I got to the stage. I was singing along with some of the songs from the pew though.

Have a great week!

Holiday Spirit

I've been getting in the holiday spirit recently and the end of this post will show you some of what I've been up to.
First, here are some pics with Sam..
Getting ready for bed with Daddy. I think Sam already thought it was bedtime!
Sam "playing"...
Another of me holding my brother. Note the scratch on my right cheek. A girl at daycare scratched me because she didn't want me to sit next to her. Being rejected by the girls already!
Here is the first holiday event we have pictures of. I went to Chuck E Cheese with Mommy through her work and had a BLAST. I got to play games, eat pizza and see Santa Claus. I even sat on his lap and smiled. It was a great time.
Going on the "roller coaster"...
Riding the Bob the Builder ride...
Sunday night I put up the Christmas tree in my room. I was very serious and did a great job putting up a lot of ornaments. I definitely have more patience for decorating than Mommy does...
Sam liked watching me...
The finished tree!
More decorating pictures to come, as we are doing the big tree next. Have a great week!

More Sam and Me too!

Here are lots of pics of Sam and of me too. We have had an overall great week. Sam is a very good sleeper compared to how I was :) He just needs to work on going to bed before 1am and not sleeping all day then, but hopefully we will get there. Mommy says she is just grateful for the 3 hour stretches Sam gives her.

Enjoy the pictures!

Daddy and I were wrestling (very loudly), and Sam was oblivious to it all!
Here is the close-up...
I still love to hold my brother every chance I get. I would love to carry him around, and I ask every day. Mommy and Daddy say I have to be a grown up so I figure if I keep asking I might end up being a grown-up one of these times.
Ready to go outside for the first time. It was nice to have some 55 degree days before the cold hits!
Sam got his first bath at home so I gave my baby a bath too. Of course Sam lost his cord (skin as I liked to call it) the next day so he will get a tub bath next time.

He didn't like it a whole lot. My baby on the other hand did. She got a full bath complete with one of the toys I take in my bath tub.

Uncle Jay and Aunt Amanda came to meet Sam, and I got a new Bumble (I am very into Rudolph still).
This is how Mommy and Daddy found me Sunday night after a day full of visits from all my grandparents and Amanda and Uncle. I NEVER fall asleep like this. Oh, and if you're wondering, I am wearing Daddy's tie and a sleep mask.
