Adventures

I am a little slow on blogging, as I am just getting around to posting from last weekend and the weekend before. The weekend before last we spent Saturday at home and then Sunday we went to Uncle Jay and Aunt Amanda's new house!

Here I am taking a "rest" (we don't say naps much anymore unless we're talking about Sam) with my backpack on. You never know when you might need to pull a Captain America shield out of a backpack!

Here I am with Aunt Amanda and her (and Uncle Jay's) cat, Frodo. I LOVED Frodo because he was under the bed most of the time and I got to go peek at him.

Sam was very happy playing with a box. Oh, he did have toys there, but the box was much more fun!

Last Saturday we went to the zoo with Grandma Rikli. It was Sam's first time. We had a great time, and the weather was perfect because it was overcast for the morning and only sprinkled a couple drops.

We got great views of the lions. This one was eating a piece of ice, and the other one was right next to the window that they have. Mommy didn't get a picture of that one though because I was a little nervous since it was so close.

Mommy said I had to go be a Joey. She made me do this last time at the zoo too.

We all rode the train. Sam REALLY liked the train. Lots to look at and touch!

Sunday, we went to baby Zoe's birthday party. Sam and Zoe played together a little bit.

Cheesy brother picture. Mommy made me take a picture since I had just gotten my haircut, and she said I am so handsome with my hair newly cut.

Sam in his Hershey shirt from G&G Hyland from their trip. We think Sam is getting another tooth, so while we do see faces like this lately, we also see angry faces and hear yells quite a bit right now too!

I have a long update to do since  I haven't blogged in a while!

I took swim lessons this summer, and Mommy came with me except for the last two days. I went by myself and did a great job! Here I am on the last day walking in with one of the eachers.

Looking back at Mommy just to make sure she didn't try to go inside on this 100 degree day! (Mommy kind of wished she would have been able to go in the water with me this day. It was HOT!)

My first bow and arrow set broke since I used it so much, so I got a "real" one now. It has an arm guard and everything. I am getting better at using it, although it takes a lot of practice!

I went to Mt Olympus with Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Amanda because Mommy got free tickets from the radio station. I had a great time. Since it was after swim lessons, I was much more easily persuaded to go on the slides and went down a LOT of slides while we were there...some by myself and some on the lap of Mommy, Daddy or Aunt Amanda.

Here's a video of me going down one of the bigger ones with daddy.

We celebrated Grandma Hyland's birthday with her, and I'm still big on the whole singing and blowing out candles thing!

Mommy only had to do a half day at work on Friday so we headed to the beach! Of course, it started raining before we were going to go, but we weren't going to complain since we need the rain so much! It stopped pretty quickly, and it ended up being a good thing because we had the beach almost to ourselves for a little while when we got there. Sam decided to take a nap for almost an hour when we first got there. Good thing we had put sunscreen on him before we left home!

Trying out my new floating ring. I wasn't quite ready to test it in the deeper water yet.

Do you think Sam liked the water? Yep, he did. Once he woke up, he was kicking and splashing away!

It was pretty much impossible to get all 3 of us looking at the camera at the same time!

Playing with my brother. He looks up to me so much, and we are great friends!

Sam is very close to crawling and being able to sit up from lying down. I'm not sure if our house is ready for this!

The Fourth of July and HOT Weather!

I have had some fun in the past couple of weeks playing inside since it has been so hot out, but also having some fun outside with water!

Sam is starting to get around even more. We think he will figure out this crawling thing (or at least the army crawl) soon.

A very happy little boy after his bath. He loves getting to play with toys in the bathtub now!

Sam just loves the swing on the new playset. He could swing for hours if we let him!

This was a day that both Sam and I were up at 5:30. We hung out on the couch for a little bit to wake up.

Squirt gun fight! One of my favorite things to do this year. I keep talking about how I want to have a squirt gun fight with all of my grandparents and Uncle Jay and Aunt Amanda.

Sam loves it when I push him on the swing.

Since Daddy has had to water the garden every day, I try to get out there as much as possible to get soaked with the hose, and Daddy isn't shy about SOAKING me!

Me and Mommy ready for church!

Happy 4th of July! Sam has been waving a lot and loves it when you wave to him and he can wave back.

Ready to go to the 4th of July games in Monroe. Sam, Daddy and Grandpa stayed home since it was so hot. We went for about 45 minutes and then came home. That was long enough. I packed lots of fun into the 45 minutes though!

Playing the bucket toss...

Jumping in the bouncy house...

Cooling off at Grandma and Grandpa's with a slice of pizza...

 Sam, ready to eat!

I hope you had a great 4th!
